I was born in Prague and graduated at VOUŠ Václava Hollara in Prague I’m working as a freelance artist, mainly as an illustrator and graphic designer. In the year 1991 I’ve illustrated my first book. Since then it has been published over fifty book titles with my illustrations. I was honored that my pictures followed texts of well known authors Jan Vodňanský and Zdeněk Svěrák. I‘ve also created several of my own author’s publications. Some titles were published even abroad – Hungary, Russia, Slovakia. In the year 2008 I was awarded the prize for an exceptional success – 362 ths. sold books with my illustrations by Fragment publishers  In the year 2011, by the same publishers, my illustrations were awarded the prize for long-term sold title „When the Little Beaver Goes to Sleep“. Cover illustration on toothpaste Odol Perlička for children became my famous graphic design work. I’m very proud to be chosen by Czech Post as an author of the graphic design Easter postage stamp 2020. I was also collaborating with advertising agencies ( Remmark, Leo Burnett, Young & Rubicam) and film studios (Avion Film, Avion Postproduction, Silent Cartoons).
My leisure time activities are stand up paddling and cosplay.

“Ladislava Pechova has collaborated with the Fragment publishing house for many years, always to the mutual satisfaction. She works quickly and responsibly, often coming up with her own ideas. Books with her illustrations have made and still make a lot of small readers happy.”
