Web presentation of Ladislava Pechova’s llustrations and book creations

Ladislava Pechova was born in Prague and graduated at VOUŠ Václava Hollara in Prague . She is working as a freelance artist, mainly as an illustrator. She also deals with graphic design. She illustrated the books of well-known Czech authors Jan Vodňanský, Zdenek Svěrák and Jan Karafiát.and she created several of author’s publications. Over fifty book titles were published with her illustrations, some also abroad. In the year 2008 she was awarded the prize for an exceptional success – 362 ths. sold books with her illustrations by Fragment publishers  In the year 2011, by the same publishers, her illustrations were awarded the prize for long-term sold title „When the Little Beaver Goes to Sleep“. Odol Perlička for children became her famous graphic design work. She was selected by Czech Post to design the Easter postage stamp 2020.
